Post Natal Group in Bradford on Avon
Six weekly meetings for parents to share and learn. Supported discussion on children’s health and wellbeing. Growing into a support network for local families as our children grow and develop.
Why the need?
A new baby is always a time of joy, but also the threshold of a whole new world of skills for parents to learn. Sadly the much appreciated post natal courses run by our local health visitor team are no longer available. Bradford Baby-Net was formed to help fill this gap. Parents have so much to teach each other about the fantastic differences and similarities in their babies and how they deal with issues as they come up. Our group courses, with professional facilitators in the most important post natal subjects is just the place to meet, share and make friends.
The cost and booking your place
The cost for six meetings is £30, payable on booking. You can pay at Church Street Practice, 15a Church Street, Bradford on Avon, (01225-868282) or you can pay online via paypal on our booking page
How does it work?
All sessions take place at a local Bradford on Avon meeting room. The maximum group size is 10 parents (plus babies!). Tea, coffee and biscuits and cake will be available!
When you arrive make yourself at home and meet our other parents and babies. There is nothing quite as helpful and reassuring as learning how other parents cope with the range of challenges and issues that arise from a new baby in the home.
A 30 minute presentation will be offered from the professional leading the topic for the session, which may be discussion led, or active involvement. The session leader will be present after the presentation for further personal and groups discussion as required.
Meeting Topics. Below is the group schedule from previous meetings. We hope the new format will be very similar, as these topics were much appreciated by our parents and babies.
